Oral fluid testing is gaining popularity as a valid alternative to urine test. Oral fluid testing is very convenient. A saliva drug test is quite user friendly. Saliva drug testing enables one to detect drug intake over 24 hours approximately. It helps to detect nearly eight different kinds of drugs such as cocaine, heroin, THC and so on.
Saliva drug test can be done through a very simple process. These kinds of drug tests use a swab which is quite similar to a tooth brush. The only difference is that a pad replaces the bristles. The swab needs to be placed inside the mouth for two minutes to collect saliva.
The only disadvantage of saliva drug test is that it can not detect historical drug. But saliva drug testing is considered to be a reliable method as the technology for saliva drug test is improving with time.
